🧀 Keto Philly Cheesesteak Casserole

Ingredients (6 servings)

  • 1 ½ lbs ground beef (or thin-sliced steak if you prefer)
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced (optional)
  • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce (optional but great flavor)
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded provolone or mozzarella
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar (or more mozzarella/provolone)

Instructions

1. Cook the beef

In a large skillet, brown the ground beef.
Season with salt and pepper.
Drain excess grease and set aside.

2. Sauté vegetables

In the same skillet, melt butter.
Add onion, bell peppers, and mushrooms.
Cook until softened and lightly caramelized (8–10 minutes).
Add garlic and cook 1 minute.

3. Mix everything

Return beef to the skillet.
Add Worcestershire, cream cheese, and heavy cream.
Stir until cream cheese melts and everything is coated in a creamy sauce.

4. Assemble the casserole

Spread mixture into a 9×13 baking dish.
Top with provolone/mozzarella and cheddar.

5. Bake

Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 15–18 minutes
or until cheese is melted and bubbly.

6. Serve

Let rest 5 minutes.
Great with a side salad or stuffed into low-carb tortillas.
