Ingredients
For the Crust
- 1 cup self-rising flour
- 1 cup nonfat plain Greek yogurt
For the Sauce
- ½ cup fat-free refried beans
- 2 tbsp taco sauce or salsa
For the Topping
- ½ lb (225g) extra-lean ground turkey or beef (99% lean)
- 1 tbsp taco seasoning (low-sodium)
- ½ cup reduced-fat shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup chopped lettuce
- ½ cup diced tomatoes
- ¼ cup diced onions (optional)
- ¼ cup sliced black olives (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Make the crust: Mix self-rising flour and Greek yogurt until dough forms. Knead for 2–3 minutes, then roll into a 10–12-inch circle.
- Bake crust for 8–10 minutes, until lightly golden.
- Cook meat: In a skillet, cook ground turkey/beef until browned. Add taco seasoning and 2 tbsp water; simmer for 2–3 minutes.
- Prepare sauce: Mix refried beans and taco sauce. Spread evenly over the baked crust.
- Assemble pizza: Add seasoned meat and sprinkle with cheese.
- Bake again for 5–8 minutes, until cheese melts.
- Top with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and olives before serving.
