Here’s an amazing Keto Monte Cristo recipe — all the sweet-savory goodness of the classic sandwich but low-carb, crispy, cheesy, and perfect for breakfast, brunch, or dinner!

Ingredients (2 sandwiches)

For the Keto “Bread”:

  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tbsp almond flour
  • 1 tbsp coconut flour
  • ¼ tsp baking powder
  • 1 tbsp heavy cream
  • Pinch salt

For the Filling:

  • 4 slices Swiss cheese
  • 4–6 slices deli ham (no sugar added)
  • 2 slices turkey (optional)

For Dipping Batter:

  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tbsp heavy cream

For Cooking:

  • 1 tbsp butter
  • Optional: keto powdered sweetener + sugar-free raspberry jam for serving

Instructions

1. Make the Keto Bread (2 slices per sandwich – total 4 slices)

You can make 90-second keto bread for convenience.

  1. In a microwave-safe container, mix almond flour, coconut flour, baking powder, pinch of salt, 1 egg, and heavy cream.
  2. Microwave 90 seconds until firm.
  3. Slice into 2 thin pieces. Repeat for the second sandwich.
  4. Lightly toast the slices in a pan for better texture.

2. Assemble the Sandwich

  1. Layer bread → Swiss cheese → ham → (turkey optional) → Swiss cheese → top bread slice.
  2. Press gently to help it stick.

3. Make the Batter

Whisk the 2 eggs and heavy cream in a shallow bowl.


4. Dip & Cook

  1. Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Dip each assembled sandwich fully in the egg batter (like French toast).
  3. Cook 3–4 minutes per side until golden, crispy, and the cheese melts.

5. Serve

Sprinkle lightly with keto powdered sweetener and serve with sugar-free raspberry jam—just like the classic Monte Cristo!
